The Untied Knot + Isnaj Dui
The sound of instrumental duo The Untied Knot Nigel Bryant (guitar) and Matt Donovan (synthesiser and percussion) has been described as pastoral 'minimalism', a sound which fuses elements of folk, psychedelic rock and electronic music. Their first album got a warm reception with airplay on BBC 6 and BBC 3 and various international radio stations. In april 2012 they were introduced at the Purcell Room in London's Southbank Centre by Max Reinhardt of BBC Radio 3's Late Junction as part of an audio-visual collaboration between Solus3 and photographer Jan Dunning.
Isnaj Dui writes glitchy neo-impressionistic music using flutes, home-made dulcimers and electronics. She has released several critically acclaimed albums and has collaborated live and on record with numerous artists from electronica acts to folk bands. She has appeared at venues such as the National Portrait Gallery and Union Chapel in London and has received extensive play on Radio 3's Late Junction and BBC 6 Music.
